The Company’s long term relationship with the Middle East began in the mid 1970’s when the current Chairman visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reached agreement for the import of Arpal branded chemicals into the Kingdom. In 1983, the company was recognised as an outstanding ambassador for UK business abroad, when it was awarded the Queens Award for Export Achievement.
In 1987, an agreement was reached with the Abudawood Group to manufacture and distribute Arpal products in Saudi Arabia, and we are proud to have been associated with the family for over 25 years. In the early 1990s we took our first steps into the Gulf and, having seen the huge potential in the region, set up Arpal Gulf LLC in 1996.
Arpal Gulf LLC has steadily grown in parallel with the spectacular development of the Emirates as a whole, servicing an ever maturing market across all sectors, from leisure to industry and hospitality to health. With a central hub in Dubai, a brand new manufacturing facility, an office in Abu Dhabi and a network of distributors throughout the region, the company is ideally placed to service its clients and develop new opportunities throughout the Middle East and beyond.
