New Oman Deal

As part of Arpal Gulf’s regional expansion plan, we are delighted to announce the signing of a formal partnership agreement in the Sultanate of Oman with Al Ariq Equipment LLC, a division of the larger Al Nab’a Group, one of the largest integrated facilities management companies in Oman.

In 2003, Al Ariq Equipment LLC was established and this is the division that Arpal Gulf now partners with. As providers of professional cleaning machines; waste handling systems and bins for municipal contracts and chemical and hygiene solutions, they provide a perfect fit for the distribution of Arpal Gulf Blue Box chemical products.

Max Adam, Arpal Group Sales & Marketing Director says, “We have now got a great platform in Oman to expand our regional export business as this country is growing very quickly from an infrastructure perspective as it pursues its diversification plan away from reliance on dwindling oil reserves. This new partnership under the guise of Arpal Oman not only allows us to access the growing local laundry, hospitality and catering sectors with Al Ariq, but also allows us to mobilise our own UAE clients’ outlets based in Oman too.”

John Gavigan, MD of Arpal Gulf says, “Oman represents a really good opportunity for us, and there are a couple of really exciting major projects we are working on with Al Ariq, which we will reveal very soon. The development of the Omani market from our perspective is 100% in line with our regional expansion strategy, and I am delighted that we have managed to secure an agreement with a company of such standing and reputation.”

Parent company, Al-Nab'a Holding LLC, based in Muscat has a group turnover $100million and directly employs nearly 10,000 people across Oman. The group is made up various divisions and joint ventures, but its core business divisions comprise:

  • Al-Nab'a Supplies & Catering Services: A commercial and industrial contract catering services who serve 100,000 meals a day feeding 30,000 people.
  • Al-Nab'a Services: The largest facility management company in Oman.
  • Al-Nab'a Infrastructure: Their construction division.
  • Al-Nab'a Equipment & Supplies: A supplier of industrial kitchen & bakery equipment, laundry machines, industrial cold rooms and a provider of generators and street lightning solutions.

The group certainly has employer welfare at the heart of its business culture by providing catering, laundry, accommodation and transport for thousands of their own employees across 14 locations across the Sultanate; it even has its own employee medical facility. I was personally over awed by the fact the Al-Nab'a Group Chairman welcomed us with open arms, and gave us his personal stamp of approval to our new venture with one of his subsidiary companies.”
